Chris Hillman (* 4. Dezember 1944 in Los Angeles ) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, der als einer der wichtigsten Wegbereiter des Country-Rock gilt. Der breiten Öffentlichkeit ist er vor allem als Bassist der Band The Byrds bekannt.
Pedersen often performs with Chris Hillman, and both were once members of the Desert Rose Band. Pedersen also fronted his own band called the Laurel Canyon Ramblers which included bluegrass bassman Bill Bryson, writer and performer of the Crossroads Cafe song penned while a member of the Bluegrass Cardinals.
Nach einem zweiten Album schloss er sich der Begleitband von John Denver an. In den 1980er Jahren komponierte Pedersen Musik für mehrere Fernsehserien. 1984 erschien sein drittes Solo-Album Lonesome Feeling. Ein Jahr später gründete er gemeinsam mit Hillman die Desert Rose Band.
