Louis Althusser [ lwi altyˡseʁ] (* 16. Oktober 1918 in Bir Mourad Raïs im Département d’Alger, Französisch-Algerien (heute Algerien ); † 22. Oktober 1990 in La Verrière im Département Yvelines) war ein französischer Philosoph. Insbesondere in den 1960er und 1970er Jahren hatte er großen Einfluss auf die Weiterentwicklung des Marxismus.
