Cora "Lovie" Austin (September 19, 1887 – July 8, 1972) was an American Chicago bandleader, session musician, composer, singer, and arranger during the 1920s classic blues era. She and Lil Hardin Armstrong are often ranked as two of the best female jazz blues piano players of the period.

Lovie Austin was a colorful and influential figure of the Chicago Jazz and Blues scene in the 1920s. She was a pianist, singer, and musical director who recorded with many blues singers, including Bessie Smith, Alberta Hunter, and Ethel Waters. She also led her own Blues Serenaders and worked with Johnny Dodds, Tommy Ladnier, and Kid Ory.
Lovie Austin. Biography. This lady was one of the premier bandleaders in the hot jazz scene in Chicago in the 1920’s. She was the house pianist at Paramount records, where she accompanied the best women singers, as well as leading her own sessions with formidable sidemen of the era.
