William Mack Brown (born August 27, 1951) is an American college football coach. He is currently in his second stint as the head football coach for the University of North Carolina, where he first coached from 1988 until departing in 1997, when he left Chapel Hill to become head coach for the University of Texas.

16. Nov. 2023 · North Carolina coach Mack Brown will coach the Tar Heels for the 2024 season, the university confirmed in an annoucement. He is 73 and has served as the Tar Heels' coach since 2019, after leading Texas to a BCS national championship in 2005. The retirement rumors are false, according to UNC spokesperson Jeremy Sharpe.
