The Manchester School of Theatre (originally the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre) is a tertiary school of theatre, drama and performance situated in the city of Manchester, founded in 1970. It is a part of Manchester Metropolitan University , and, in its work as a conservatoire, a member of the Federation of Drama Schools .

Feb. 2022 · Manchester School of Theatre, a leading drama school in the UK, opens its new 180-seater auditorium in Manchester Metropolitan University's Grosvenor East building, with two powerful and dynamic plays: Mother Courage by David Hare and The Welkin by Lucy Kirkwood. The School, which has produced Oscar nominees and BAFTA winners, is part of the Federation of Drama Schools and the Arts and Humanities faculty of Manchester Metropolitan University.
