Manlio Giovanni Brosio (* 10. Juli 1897 in Turin; † 14. März 1980 ebenda) war ein italienischer Politiker ( PLI) und Diplomat. Er war Botschafter Italiens in der Sowjetunion (1946–51), Großbritannien (1952–54), den USA (1955–61) und Frankreich (1961–64) sowie von 1964 bis 1971 NATO-Generalsekretär.
Manlio Brosio (10 July 1897 – 14 March 1980) was an Italian lawyer, diplomat, politician and the fourth Secretary General of NATO between 1964 and 1971. Early life. Brosio was born in Turin by Edoardo & Fortunata Curadelli, studied law in the local university. During the World War I, he served in Alpine regiment as an artillery officer.

Born in 1897, Manlio Brosio studied law at the University of Turin and, during World War I, served as an artillery officer in an Alpine regiment.
When he retired from NATO in 1971, NATO was left revitalised and ready to adapt to the changing security environment.
