  1. Manning Marius Kimmel (April 22, 1913 – on or around July 26, 1944) was a United States Navy submarine officer in World War II and the son of Admiral Husband E. Kimmel. [1] He served as both junior and executive officer on several submarines, and finally assumed command of USS Robalo as a lieutenant commander.
