Maria Victoria was een dochter van Carlo Emanuele dal Pozzo , prins van dal Pozzo dalla Cisterna, en zijn echtgenote Louise Caroline Ghislaine , gravin van Mérode.

Căsătorită cu Ducele de Aosta , fiu al lui Victor Emanuel al II-lea al Italiei , ea a fost ultima regină a Spaniei din 1870 până la abdicarea soțului ei în 1873.

The then Queen Maria Vittoria was pictured wearing the Tiara in an engraving.
