Billy Davis Jr. (born June 26, 1938) is an American singer and musician, best known as a member of the 5th Dimension. Along with his wife Marilyn McCoo , he had hit records during 1976 and 1977 with "I Hope We Get to Love in Time", " Your Love ", and " You Don't Have to Be a Star (To Be in My Show) ".
The collaboration of duos Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. from the soul group The 5th Dimension, is among the distinguished smas top hitters in American soul music which ran from 1966 up till present.

Anfang der 1960er-Jahre trat McCoo der Band The Hi-Fi’s bei, die unter anderem als Vorgruppe bei Konzerten von Ray Charles auftrat. 1966 lernte sie den Musiker Billy Davis junior kennen, der im selben Jahr seine 1965 als The Versatiles gegründete Band in The Fifth Dimension umbenannte. McCoo trat der Band als Backgroundsängerin bei.
