Maximilian, Margrave of Baden, also known as Max von Baden, was a German businessman and the head of House of Baden. Through his mother, Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, the second sister of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, he was a first cousin of Charles III, King of the United Kingdom.

März 2024 · Maximilian, prince of Baden was the prince of Baden and chancellor of Germany, appointed on Oct. 3, 1918, because his humanitarian reputation made the emperor William II think him capable of bringing World War I expeditiously to an end. The son of the grand duke Frederick I’s brother Prince William.
The fourth margrave of Baden-Baden, Herman V, Margrave of Baden-Baden (reigned 1190–1243), founded the cities of Backnang, Durlach, Stuttgart, Ettlingen, and Pforzheim and several monasteries, including the Lichtenthal Abbey, which became the burial place of his descendants. In 1219 he moved his seat of power to Pforzheim.
