Mickey Dale "Mike" Beebe was born near Amagon, Jackson County, Arkansas, on December 28, 1946. Raised by his mother, he lived in several states before returning to Arkansas and graduating from Newport High School. Beebe earned a B.A. in political science from Arkansas State University and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
