Johnny Hates Jazz wurde 1985 [1] von Clark Datchler, Calvin Hayes und Mike Nocito gegründet. In ihrem gesamten Auftreten und musikalischen Stil – ordentliche Frisuren, Anzug und Krawatte sowie den sanften, glatten Popsongs – erinnert die Band an Spandau Ballet.
