  6. It was formed by merging three existing institutions: the Military University of the Ground Forces Vyškov, Military Academy Brno and the Military Medical Academy Hradec Králové. Thus, only one military higher education institution has remained in the Czech Republic while each of the abolished schools was transformed into a Faculty.
