Adapted from Donald MacKenzie's novel, Moment of Danger begins with handsome, glib-tongued criminal Peter Carran (Edmund Purdom) and safe expert John Bain (Trevor Howard) raiding a Mayfair (London) residence and grabbing priceless jewels.
After a successful jewel robbery at a posh London house, a locksmith (Trevor Howard) is double-crossed by his partner (Edmund Purdom) who also leaves his girlfriend (Dorothy Dandridge) stranded and runs off with the loot. The two pursue him all the way to Spain.
