Mouchette ( pronounced [mu.ʃɛt]) is a 1967 French film directed by Robert Bresson, starring Nadine Nortier and Jean-Claude Guilbert. It is based on the novel of the same name by Georges Bernanos. [1] Bresson explained his choice of the novel saying, "I found neither psychology or analysis in it.
Handlung. Die vierzehnjährige Mouchette lebt auf dem Land in Südfrankreich. Ihr Vater ist ein alkoholkranker Bauer, ihre Mutter ist bettlägerig und todkrank. Auch die Schule kann ihr keinen Halt geben, sie wird dort wegen ihrer schlechten Leistungen und ihres ungepflegten Äußeren schikaniert.
