The National Academy of Public Administration is an academic institution that was founded by James E. Webb, then-administrator of NASA, and other leading public administration practitioners in 1967 and chartered under Title 36 of the United States Code in 1984 under Pub. L. 98–257.
Established in 1967, the Academy responds to requests for assistance from Congress; federal agencies; and state, local, and international government entities on issues of importance.
