The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre is a full-time conservatory offering post-secondary training in Dramatic Arts Acting. As the home of the Meisner Technique we prepare our students for the professional demands of working in all areas of theatre, film, and television.

30. Apr. 2024 · The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre is a non-profit, tax-exempt school of training for actors, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST). The bronze plaque containing excerpts from the Proclamation presented to The Neighborhood Playhouse by the New York City Council, which hangs permanently on the façade of the building.
Applicants are encouraged to ensure their Application Form, $75.00 Application Fee, and photo arrive prior to supporting documents (letters of reference, resume, transcripts, etc.) to expedite the application process. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis based on class capacity. Space is limited, so we suggest that you apply early.
