Nettlebed is a great place to base yourself, being very close to Henley and easily reachable by bus. There are hundreds of walks from there including the Ridgeway and walks on Nettlebed estates - still owned by the Fleming family (descendants of Ian Fleming - James Bond fame) and Warburg Nature Reserve.
Nettlebed is a village on top of the Chilterns between the valley of the Thames at Henley and Wallingford in South Oxfordshire. It is a community of some 700 people set in the wooded countryside of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nettlebed has a long and fascinating history.
