16. Feb. 2018 · During the summer of 1970 Love Affair began recording the tracks destined for "New Day". The music here is something of a revelation and stills up after forty or so years ago. The album open with the tittle track, written by Mick Jackson, which sets the tone with bold progressive themes.

De bandnaam werd gewijzigd in L.A. en in 1970 gaf CBS Records het album New Day uit. Het bracht hen geen succes, dus besloten ze weer verder te gaan onder de naam Love Affair. In februari 1971 gaf Polydor Records hun single Wake Me, I'm Dreaming uit.
