12. Mai 2022 · However, it turns out that the two occasions in which the pair actually met were utterly disastrous, and their characters could not be more contrasting. The two first crossed paths at a late-night jam session at the New York club, The Scene, between March 6th and March 7th 1968.
The jam took place at the Scene, a nightclub in New York City, and various dates and participants have been suggested. Although it presents a unique setting, critics and biographers have generally found fault with the sound quality and Morrison's performance.

12. Nov. 2016 · New York City, April 1967, Ondine Discotheque on 59th Street. Standing at the bar throwing back double shots of vodka and orange is Jim Morrison, 23-year-old singer of rising stars The Doors, who are halfway into their third residency at the club.
At the time of his 1968 portrait session with photographer Yale Joel in New York, Morrison and his bandmates had released two albums (featuring hits such as “Light My Fire,” “People Are Strange” and “Love Me Two Times”), and were about to record a third, Waiting for the Sun.
