Vor 4 Tagen · Newtown High School’s girls’ track and field teams took on Bunnell of Stratford and Pomperaug of Southbury in meets on May 13 and 14. The girls defeated Bunnell 97-53 and Pomperaug 106-44 at home on May 13. Grace Lyons won the 100 meter run in a time of 12.02.
Vor 5 Tagen · Newtown High School’s baseball team kept up its winning ways on the heels of early-May victories over Notre Dame-Fairfield and Stratford as the Nighthawks defeated host Pomperaug of Southbury 7-4 on May 11, beat visiting Weston 7-3 on May 13, then shut out host Bunnell of Stratford 7-0 on May 14 to close out the regular season slate.
