  7. Vor 4 Tagen · The Expanse by James S. A. Corey. Night’s Dawn is one of my favorite reads! I hesitate to call it newer but Vernor Vinge’s Zones of Thought series is thought provoking and has lots of world building. I also really enjoy the Hyperion series by Dan Simmons. It starts off a bit slow but really builds.
