Debuting with 1984's No Kinda Dancer, the Houston native has recorded 20 full-length albums for both independent and major record labels. His songs have had cover versions recorded by many musicians, including George Strait, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, The Highwaymen and Nanci Griffith.
15. März 2018 · "Rollin' By" was written by Robert Earl Keen, one of Lovett's long-time collaborators. Keen recorded the song in 1984 on his debut album, No Kinda Dancer. The two first met one another...
1. Sept. 2011 · No Kinda Dancer also featured a co-write from Lyle Lovett, Keen’s neighbor, close friend, and musical co-conspirator from their shared college days at Texas A&M University.
