  5. 6. Nov. 2022 · Norton H. Mezvinsky, a Distinguished University Professor and president of the International Council for Middle East Studies, died on September 16, 2022, in his Manhattan home. He was a brilliant academic, historian, father, and humanitarian who dedicated his life to peace and education in the Middle East. A private ceremony was held on September 20th, followed by a memorial service on November 6th, at Central Connecticut State University.
