Nov. 2020 · Oliver Griffiths, the UK Chief Negotiator for the UK-US trade deal, has been named as the new permanent Chief Executive of the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA), a new independent body to protect UK industries from unfair trade practices. The TRA will operate as an arm's length body from January 2021, subject to the passing of the Trade Bill.
Oliver Griffiths is the Chief Executive of the Trade Remedies Authority, a new body that investigates and settles trade disputes between the UK and other countries. He was previously a Director in the Department for International Trade and a civil servant with experience in trade policy, corporate finance and Green Investment Bank.
