A faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles. Director: Quentin Tarantino. Writers: screenplay by Quentin Tarantino. Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is wish fulfillment. In this respect, I think that people like it in the same way that they like Midnight in Paris. But it's also very subtle. (For Tarantino, I mean.) Other than Checkov's flamethrower, the movie is a low key character study, which imagines that post 1970's Hollywood never occurred.
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Subreddit, dedicated to watching, talking about and then rewatching The 9th Film by Quentin Tarantino starring Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. A fan since the days of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction it was dumb luck that I found myself working for half a decade at the Musso & Frank’s, the restaurant that opens the film; including prior to and ...
2. Dez. 2019 · I observed a glitch cut in Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) When Jim Stacey in his cowboy attire and red shirt comes to meet devastated Rick Dalton on the set for the first time, he comes towards him and takes off his hat as he greets Rick. Then there is a glitch cut, the hat is back on the Jim's head as the scene continues.
once upon a time in hollywood is a steaming pile of absolute dogshit. I've never seen such a boring, pointless, self-important movie in my life. There is no drama, no story, no tension, nothing. Nothing. It's terrible. Feel validated people out there who also dislike this shit movie, when critics try to gaslight us with "positive reviews." lol ...
I hate Once upon a time in Hollywood. It basically reiternated the same Idea we already know from inglorious basterds and Django unchained, it felt terribly pretentious and damn, i hated Brad Pitt's character the most. Also, i saw the Twist coming pretty early on.
17. Apr. 2020 · ADMIN MOD. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is a boring, turgid piece of shit. 1/ It feels like 20% of the movie is shots of cars pulling up. 2/ It ambling and aimless, without any of those wonderfully comically mundane Tarantino moments. 3/ The last 20 minutes are just dumb and gratuitous 4/ Foot fetish stuff has passed meta and is now just ...
20. Mai 2024 · Once Upon a time in Hollywood as my 5. I was just seriously underwhelmed by it. And perhaps that was intentional but I want to wait a bit before rewatching it. I’d put this as a 85. Kill bill 2 as my 6. 80+ on my scale. It just didn’t do it like kill bill 1 for me. I have never seen death proof.
13. Jan. 2020 · MembersOnline. •. DygonZ. "once upon a time in Hollywood" is massively overrated. I honestly don't get why so many people seem to love this movie. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad movie, but it's also not good. It's so mediocre. It's a 3 hour movie. It definitely didn't feel like a 3h movie, which is good, but at the end of it I was like ...
