Oregon State University (OSU) is a public land-grant research university based in Corvallis, Oregon. OSU offers more than 200 undergraduate-degree programs along with a variety of graduate and doctoral degrees through all 11 colleges. It has the seventh-largest engineering college in the nation for 2023.
Geschichte. Die Geschichte der Oregon State University geht auf die 1856 als private Akademie gegründete Corvallis Academy zurück. 1858 wurde es in Corvallis College umbenannt und seit 1865 wurden erste Kurse auf College-level angeboten. 1868 erfolgte die formelle Gründung der staatlichen Hochschule unter dem Namen Agricultural College of the State of Oregon.
