Pauline Foures was a young blonde French woman who became the object of Napoleon's desire in Egypt. She was the wife of a lieutenant in the Chasseurs and the mother of a son. She accompanied him to Egypt in 1798, where she met him at the Tivoli Egyptien and became his mistress. She was loyal to her husband until he left for Paris, when she followed him and became his lover.
