Peter Rey Aguilar (/ ˈ æ ɡ j ə ˌ l ɑːr / AG-yə-LAR; born June 19, 1979) is an American politician who has been chair of the House Democratic Caucus since 2023. He has been the U.S. representative for California's 33rd congressional district (renumbered from the 31st after the 2020 redistricting cycle) since 2015.
