Prince Carl Gustav, Duke of Småland (25 August 1782 – 23 March 1783) was a prince of Sweden, being the son of King Gustav III of Sweden and Queen Sophia Magdalena. He died in infancy.

The marriage produced two children: Crown Prince Gustav Adolf (1778–1837), and Prince Carl Gustav, Duke of Småland (1782–1783). For the consummation of the marriage, the king and queen requested actual physical instruction by Count Adolf Munck, reportedly because of anatomical problems of both spouses.

The first use in Swedish of the title of hertig was in 1266 by Prince Magnus , son of Princess Ingeborg and Birger Jarl .
