Qian Xuesen was the father of Chinese aerospace for his role in establishing China's ballistic missile program. He studied at MIT and Caltech, worked with von Kármán, and directed the Chinese Academy of Space Technology. He was a leader in aerodynamics, jet propulsion, and rocketry, and a patriotic and influential figure in China's space history.
Qian Xuesen was a Chinese scientist who helped develop China's missile and space programme, and also worked on jet propulsion in the US. He was deported to China in 1955 amid Cold War tensions and anti-communist witch-hunts.
