Ramesh Bais (born 2 August 1947) is an Indian politician and is the 23rd governor of Maharashtra since 2023. He also served as the governor of Jharkhand from 2021 to 2023 and the governor of Tripura from 2019 to 2021.

12. Feb. 2023 · President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday appointed Ramesh Bais, 75, the new Governor of Maharashtra. He replaces Bhagat Singh Koshyari who resigned last month. Bais was previously the Governor of Jharkhand. A veteran BJP leader from Raipur, his political career began in 1978 when he became a municipal councillor.
