Raymond Tabano (aka Crazy Raymond) (born December 23, 1946 in The Bronx, New York, U.S.) is a musician and former guitarist of Aerosmith. He grew up as the childhood best friend of Steven Tyler. However, due to his eccentric behaviour and average playing skill, he was replaced by Brad Whitford in 1971.
A Bronx native, Ray Tabano’s stint with Aerosmith might’ve been brief, but it was instrumental. As one of the founding members, Tabano’s guitar strumming helped shape the band’s early sound. He and Tyler, childhood buddies, dreamt of rock ‘n’ roll glory days while young.
