René Jules Gustave Coty (* 20. März 1882 in Le Havre; † 22. November 1962 ebenda) war ein französischer Politiker und vom 16. Januar 1954 bis zum 8. Gustave Jules René Coty (French pronunciation: [ʁəne kɔti]; 20 March 1882 – 22 November 1962) was President of France from 1954 to 1959. He was the second and last president of the Fourth French Republic.
Conseiller général de Seine-Inférieure. Août 1914-1918. Engagé volontaire, il participe notamment à la bataille de Verdun. Décembre 1919. Il connaît un échec aux élections municipales et ne s'y jamais représente plus. Juin 1923 - 1er janvier 1936. Député, il succède à Jules Siegfried. Il rejoint l'Union républicaine. 13 - 23 décembre 1930.
