Richard Baer (9. září 1911, Floß, Bavorsko – 17. června 1963, Frankfurt nad Mohanem, Západní Německo) byl nacistický válečný zločinec a důstojník v hodnosti SS-Sturmbannführer . Nechvalně známým se stal kvůli svému působení od května 1944 do února 1945, kdy působil ve funkci velitele koncentračního tábora Auschwitz I .

Feb. 2023 · Richard Baer was a German SS officer who served as the commandant of Auschwitz I concentration camp from May 1944 to January 1945, and later as the commandant of Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp from February to April 1945. He lived under an assumed name after the war but was recognized and arrested in December 1960. Baer died in detention before he could stand trial.
