Chris Hillman, 2004. Chris Hillman (* 4. Dezember 1944 in Los Angeles) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, der als einer der wichtigsten Wegbereiter des Country-Rock gilt. Der breiten Öffentlichkeit ist er vor allem als Bassist der Band The Byrds bekannt.
Byrds is the twelfth and final studio album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released in March 1973 on Asylum Records. [1] . It was recorded as the centerpiece of a reunion among the five original band members: Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke. [2] .
He was the original bassist of the Byrds. With frequent collaborator Gram Parsons, Hillman was a key figure in the development of country rock, defining the genre through his work with the Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas and the country-rock group the Desert Rose Band. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 as ...
