Robert Walter McElroy (born February 5, 1954) is an American prelate of the Catholic Church who has served as the sixth bishop of the Diocese of San Diego in California since 2015. McElroy was educated by the Sulpicians at St. Joseph High School Seminary and St. Patrick Seminary in California, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of San Francisco in 1980.
