Carl Lee Perkins (* 9. April 1932 in Tiptonville, Tennessee, USA; † 19. Januar 1998 in Jackson, Tennessee) war ein amerikanischer Country-Musiker, Sänger, Gitarrist und Songwriter. Er gilt als Pionier des Rockabilly und wurde 1956 mit der ersten Fassung des von ihm geschriebenen Blue Suede Shoes bekannt.
"Blue Suede Shoes" was chosen as one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's “500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll”. The song also received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award . Perkins was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in recognition of his pioneering contribution to the genre.
