John Joseph „Johnny“ Burnette (* 25. März 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee; † 14. August 1964 in Clear Lake, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Rockabilly - Musiker. Burnette gilt als Pionier dieser Musikrichtung. Bekannte Stücke von ihm sind unter anderem The Train Kept A-Rollin‘, Honey Hush sowie der Rockbilly Boogie .

John Joseph Burnette (March 25, 1934 – August 14, 1964) was an American singer and songwriter of rockabilly and pop music. [1] In 1952, Johnny, his brother, Dorsey Burnette, and their mutual friend Paul Burlison, formed the band that became known as the Rock and Roll Trio. [2]
Johnny Burnette and the Rock 'n Roll Trio is the 1956 debut album of the rockabilly band The Rock and Roll Trio, fronted by Johnny Burnette. Recorded over three separate sessions in 1956, the album includes a number of the band's singles. 2008's Icons of Rock calls the album "an all-time rockabilly classic". [2]
