Michael Fonfara. Herb Rich. Roger Troy. The Electric Flag was an American blues / rock / soul band from Chicago, led by guitarist Mike Bloomfield, keyboardist Barry Goldberg and drummer Buddy Miles, and featuring other musicians such as vocalist Nick Gravenites and bassist Harvey Brooks.

1972 arrangierten Bloomfield, Miles, Gravenites und Goldberg eine Reunion von The Electric Flag. Als neuer Bassist stieg Roger Troy ein. Das dabei entstandene Album The Band Kept Playing erntete schlechte Kritiken und die Band trennte sich erneut.
