The One Ronnie. The Two Ronnies is a British television comedy sketch show starring Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. It was created by Bill Cotton and aired on BBC1 from 10 April 1971 to 25 December 1987. The usual format included sketches, solo sections, serial stories and musical finales.
Ronnie Corbett, in a spectacular televised ceremony, broadcast to coincide with ITV's 50th Anniversary celebrations, accepted the star on behalf of The Two Ronnies but Barker was unable to attend due to ill health. Less than a month later, on 3rd October 2005, after a long period of heart trouble, Ronnie Barker died peacefully, with his wife Joy by his side.
