10. Feb. 2021 · Wednesday 10 February 2021. In June, Ronnie Ravey and Marius Jones had a big fallout with the Sensational 60s promoters and decided they had had enough of touring and wanted to leave the band citing irreconcilable differences. Consequently, we won’t be performing again.
Ronnie Ravey had been known to Toni and Pete for years as a great frontman, He has worked alongside many famous names both live and in the studio, since the early 60s, notably Joe Cocker and The Everley Bros. He even started his career in a comedy duo with Bobby Ball!
Ronnie Ravey too had been known to The Dakotas for many years as an excellent frontman and so when they decided to become a 5 piece outfit in 2010, Ronnie was the perfect man to front the band.
Eddie Mooney was invited to front The Fortunes in December 2007, after their lead singer, Rod Allen, died after sudden illness. He went on to join the band full-time. In December 2010 the Dakotas added Marius Jones (bass) and Ronnie Ravey (vocals), bringing them back to the original formula of a 5 piece outfit. Artis info: Wikipedia
