23. Sept. 2004 · Roy Drusky, a Georgia native who scored a dozen Top 10 country hits in the '60s, died in 2004 at a nursing home in Portland, Tenn. He was 74. He wrote and co-wrote songs for Faron Young, Priscilla Mitchell and others, and appeared in three country music movies. He also produced other artists and helped establish SESAC.
