Samuel Washington (November 16, 1734 – September 26, 1781) was an American planter, politician and military officer best known for being the younger brother of the first president of the United States, George Washington.
9. Sept. 2016 · Samuel Washington was the third child and second oldest son of Augustine and Mary Washington. He was a colonel in the militia and a justice in Stafford County, where he died of tuberculosis in 1781. He was a close confidant of his famous brother George Washington, who sent him many letters about the war and shared his innermost thoughts with him.
