Plot. Nélie Laborde ( Lyna Khoudri ), a young woman from a poor background, works as a nurse during WWI. She meets Rose Juillet ( Maud Wyler ), an upper class Swiss woman. When a German grenade hits their building, Rose seems to be mortally wounded. Nélie takes on her identity in search of a better life.
