Ashford & Simpson were an American husband-and-wife songwriting, production, recording duo composed of Nickolas Ashford (May 4, 1942 – August 22, 2011 [1]) and Valerie Simpson (born August 26, 1946). [2] Ashford was born in Fairfield, South Carolina, and Simpson in the Bronx, New York City.

10. März 2010 · "Send It" has always been my favorite album by Ashford & Simpson. Every song is a winner. However, this reissue from Wounded Bird is not digitally remastered. In fact, the original reissue that was distributed on the Warner Brothers label a few years back sounds much crisper than this latest reissue. I repurchased this CD because it includes ...

Listening to Ashford and Simpson brought back good memories, the times when I was just discovering their sound. What a shame Ashford has gone on.
