Sihle Zikalala (born 6 August 1973) is a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal who has been the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2023, representing the African National Congress.
Mr Sihle Zikalala is the former MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) in KwaZulu-Natal (2022 – 2023). He has held the position of Provincial Chairperson of the African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal (2015 – 2022) and also served as Premier of KwaZulu-Natal (2019 – 2022).

Aug. 2022 · The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal accepted the resignation of Sihle Zikalala, who lost the party chairperson position and the elective conference to his rival, former youth league leader Sboniso Duma. The party has started the process of searching for his replacement, who will be interviewed on Saturday.
30. Jan. 2023 · The former KwaZulu-Natal premier and Cogta MEC will leave the provincial government by Tuesday to take up a national post. He was among the ANC national executive committee members who topped the list of additional members.
Sihle Zikalala is a former Premier of KwaZulu-Natal and the current Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure at the National Executive. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science, a Bachelor of Administration Honours cum laude, and a master's degree in commerce. He is a member of the African National Congress and the ANC National Executive.
5. Aug. 2022 · The ANC leader in KwaZulu-Natal, who lost the contest for provincial chairperson to Siboniso Duma, said he was stepping down to move the party forward and avoid being a distraction. He was replaced by a new premier who would be sworn in after interviews and confirmation by the provincial legislature.
