Biografie. Jan Kincaid und Simon Bartholomew sind seit dem Alter von fünf Jahren miteinander befreundet, Andrew Levy lernten sie als 12-jährigen kennen. Die drei Schulfreunde gründeten 1985 in London die Brand New Heavies und machten schließlich ihre gemeinsame Vorliebe für Soul, Funk und Disco der 60er und 70er zu ihrem Hobby.
Simon Bartholomew plays guitar in British funk/pop/soul group The Brand New Heavies. Along with band mate Andrew Levy, they write, produce, mix and oversee the runnings of a fully working, touring and recording band. The pair met at high school and after hearing funk at The Cat In The Hat club, they began jamming.

Singer Simon Bartholomew reveals his Track Record: First song you remember hearing as a child? My Boy Lollipop by Millie. My mum had the 7’’ single and you could colour in the back. I later found out that my friend’s Dad had played bass on the record, which was impressive to me when I was little.
