Simon Frederick St George Kirke (born 28 July 1949) is an English musician who was the co-founder, drummer, and only continuous member of the rock supergroup Bad Company. Prior to forming Bad Company he was the drummer and co-founder of Free .
Simon Kirke is best known for his powerful back beat drumming. He is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. He cowrote "Bad Company" with Paul Rodgers as well as most of the songs on his three solo albums Though Simon's main commitment is with Bad Company he has done three tours with Ringo Starr's All Starr Band and performs his own solo shows

18. März 2015 · Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke have led tributes to former Free bandmate Andy Fraser, who died on Monday aged 62. His passing was confirmed last night. No cause of death has been reported, but he’d been dealing with AIDS and cancer for many years. Singer Rodgers said simply: “Losing Andy is very personal. No words. Sad day.”
