A Brief History of St Albans School of Art. St Albans School of Art opened in 1890 in a building at the top of Victoria Street. It was based on a very popular model at the time: each town would have their own art school providing practical training to artists and craftsmen in the region.

Sept. 2014 · Here are some of the paintings done by the recent' classes teaching the gothic style of art using the 12th century English illuminations of the School of St Albans (with one contemporary French image there as well). These classes took place in July in Kansas, Calgary and at Thomas More College in New Hampshire.
